Founding Program Director, WiTNY at Cornell Tech

A technology leader with more than 20 years of experience in the communications industry, Judith Spitz founded WiTNY in 2016 in partnership with Cornell Tech, the City University of New York, and a collaborative team of corporate partners. Under her leadership, the initiative has empowered more than 1,500 young women,

Prior to founding WiTNY, Judy was a chief information officer at Verizon. She is a highly sought-after speaker on women in leadership and women in technology, and she has been recognized with numerous honors and awards. Most recently, the New York Business Journal named her a 2018 Woman of Influence. In 2017, she received the Above & Beyond Award for Outstanding Women in Business from the city and state of New York.

A passionate advocate for women’s rights, diversity and inclusion, Andrea Shapiro Davis is an Associate Vice Chancellor at the City University of New York (CUNY). She has had a long and distinguished career in public service, including 11 years working for Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, where she served as special advisor to the mayor, executive director of the mayor’s office of appointments and executive director of the NYC Commission on Women’s Issues.
